Formally educated at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Joe Costello received a bachelor-of-science in Construction Management in 1987. Growing up in a family of builders with his father, Pete, and his mother, Vangee, Joe was exposed to quality construction from a very early age. For more than 25 years, the Costello family built some of the finest homes, churches, schools, civic, and commercial buildings in the region. From his parents, Joe gained numerous skills related to construction scheduling and costing, working with owners, subcontractors, building officials, engineers, and architects. Joe has developed great skill in both the craft of building and the ability to solve the challenges of original designs.

Upon completing school, Joe returned to Phoenix where he served as the Project Engineer for the Phoenician Resort while employed by McCarthy, Inc. Joe then worked for Oakland Construction as Project Manager on the $13.8 million University of Arizona Agricultural Laboratory Building and the $13.5 million Arizona State University Student Recreation Complex. He also served as Project Engineer for the $9.9 million Arizona State University School of Architectural Expansion.
